Technical Bulletin DVS 0700 (05/2026)
Prerequisites for the acquisition of the authorisation to issue in-house welder and/or operator qualification test certificates as a manufacturer
The code of practice describes the general conditions for a manufacturer that intends to examine its own welders/operators as an internal examination body. Within the scope of manufacturer certification by a certification body, these regulations may be applied for recognition to conduct in-house welder and/or operator qualification tests by the responsible welding coordinator(s). It also serves as a guideline for accredited certification bodies (conformity assessment bodies – CABs) for comparable recognition of manufacturers as examination bodies for their own personnel. Mandatory application to all sectors is not guaranteed; the regulations are recommendations. This edition replaces the previously valid DVS Code of Practice 0700, January 2018 edition.
